What is the difference between sync (like Drive or OneDrive) and backup?
Sync mirrors your files - including mistakes, deletions and ransomware encryption - across devices. Backup keeps independent, versioned copies you can roll back to. A business needs both, and they are not interchangeable.
How often is our data backed up?
Typically daily at minimum, with more frequent snapshots for critical systems. The schedule is defined per system according to how much data your business can afford to lose.
How do we know the backup actually works?
Because we test it. Scheduled recovery tests are part of the service - a backup that has never been restored is a hope, not a plan.
Can backups protect us from ransomware?
